Draft Local Plan - Supplementary Consultation

Representation ID: 6754

Received: 22/02/2019

Respondent: Mr Neil Murphy

Representation Summary:

- CFS 325 provides a suitable and sustainable location for urban extension to Hampton Lane without encroaching on Catherine De Barnes and therefore would not contribute to coalescence.
- The site is located within a lower performing parcel in the Green Belt Assessment and would be a natural extension to Hampton Lane whilst maintaining a defensible boundary to the east and north.
- The site is therefore a good location for sustainable urban growth and should be considered suitable for inclusion as a residential site.

I am the householder and owner of the small patch of adjacent land in Hampton Lane. I believe a small development would help meet Solihull councils need for housing without any adverse affect on the area and without closing the gap on my local village Catherine De Barnes. The site is located within a lower performing parcel in the Green Belt Assessment and would be a natural extension to Hampton Lane whilst maintaining a defensible boundary to the east and north.
