The delivery of the two large sites at Knowle could be delayed due to the need to deliver supporting infrastructure.
Land at Kenilworth Road (site 110 – see attached plan) could be delivered more quickly; it has no significant constraints, and could come forward without the need for significant infrastructure provision.
The reliance on an assessment of large areas of land in the Green Belt assessment, provides a very blunt analysis. If smaller, detailed parcels were assessed, suitable land could released from the Green Belt. As such, as in this case of land at Kenilworth Road, the most sustainable sites are not being released for development.
