Draft Local Plan Review

Representation ID: 277

Received: 15/01/2017

Respondent: Roger Buckley

Representation Summary:

The site is one of the few areas remaining where countryside can be enjoyed within the Solihull district to the west of the M42.
The fields are well used by the community and it is important to preserve an area of land which is available for the existing community.
The fields are also home to much wildlife.
Please preserve this area, not just to preserve the quality of life of the current people living in Shirley but also for the future generations. We need to preserve this remnant of countryside for the benefit of all.

I would like to register my objection to the proposed building of 600 new homes on the site south of Shirley estates.

The site is one of the few areas remaining where countryside can be enjoyed within the Solihull district to the west of the M42.

The fields are well used by the community and it is important to preserve an area of land which is available for the existing community which you represent.

The fields are also home to much wild life, and we have seen song thrush, stonechats and even red wing on these fields, alongside our friendly bats of course

Please preserve this area, not just to preserve the quality of life of the current people living in Shirley but also for the future generations. We need to preserve this remnant of countryside for the benefit of all.
