Draft Local Plan - Supplementary Consultation

Representation ID: 6712

Received: 21/02/2019

Respondent: Mrs Patricia Platt

Representation Summary:

Knowle and Dorridge will no longer be villages as building 600 houses will totally change the area.

We certainly need smaller homes for the older people downsizing - most of the recent new ones built locally have 5/6 bedrooms.

A new Catholic primary school would be good but where will children of other faiths go when primary schools are already full?

Building 600 homes here would have a huge impact on the 'village' as a whole as it would cause even more traffic problems than we already have . At school leaving time, cars are parked down all the side roads and hundreds of children walk along the very narrow pavements. It would put pressure on doctors when it is already difficult to get an appointment and I have seen patients regularly queuing at 7.45 to try and get an appointment. A new Catholic primary school would be good but where will children of other faiths go when primary schools are already full?
