Sharman's Cross Road Rugby Ground

I wish to object most strongly at the above proposal to use the above sporting ground for a development other than for the use of sport.

The above ground was brought Solihull Council and sold to a rugby club on condition that it would only be used for sport.

The owners of the Rugby Club sold it to the present owners Oakmoor (Sharmans Cross) Ltd at Sports Ground valuation and with the undertaking that they would honour all covenants and obligations.

In 2013 Solihull council affirmed as policy, not to sell the freehold or lift the covenants and that the ground should only be used for sporting purposes.

The present owners have made no attempts to attract any one wishing to use the ground for sporting purposes, in fact it would appear they have positively discouraged it

I trust the Solihull Council will reaffirm their commitment that this sports ground will only and always be used for sporting purposes.
